‘Jesus Loves Addicts’ by Skit Heitzig

Most of us if not all of us suffer from some sort of addiction.

Let it be alcohol, pornography, money, fame, attention, exercise, success. You name it. If we depend on something in order to feel better and you can’t live without it, you have an addiction.

Sin is never private. It always affects other people. Our God knows everything we’ve done and thought about. We are undeserving of his forgiveness. Yet, he loves us unconditionally. He loves us not because of our faith, but because he is good and faithful.

We shall be addicted to serving our God and loving people. Not other things!

‘I Bowed On My Knees and Cried, “Holy”‘ by Free Chapel Worship

I dreamed of a city called Glory
And it was so bright and so fair
And when I entered the gates I cried holy, holy
All the angels, they met me there
And then they carried me from mansion to mansion
And all the sights I saw
That’s when I said I want to see Jesus
For He’s the one who died for all

Then I bowed on my knees and cried holy, holy, holy
I clapped my hands and sang glory
Glory to the Son of God
Glory to the Son of God Continue reading “‘I Bowed On My Knees and Cried, “Holy”‘ by Free Chapel Worship”

You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord who abide in his shadow for life say to the Lord, “my refuge my Rock in Whom I trust”

When we are faced with trials, evil temptations. When you feel like you’ve done everything you can and have no more energy to go further… Feeling weak and want to give up to put an end to the suffering, what can you do?

Being good, loving, strong, respectful, loyal, diligent, victorious, successful. Are these characteristics you wish you had? Then you are seeking wisdom. ūüôā

We are gonna start with

Proverbs 3:11-18 (NIV)

11 My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,
    and do not resent his rebuke,
12 because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
    as a father the son he delights in.[a]

13 Blessed are those who find wisdom,
    those who gain understanding,
14 for she is more profitable than silver
    and yields better returns than gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies;
    nothing you desire can compare with her.
16 Long life is in her right hand;
    in her left hand are riches and honor.
17 Her ways are pleasant ways,
    and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her;
    those who hold her fast will be blessed.

Matthew 4:4 (NIV)

4¬†Jesus answered,¬†‚ÄúIt is written: ‚ÄėMan shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God

Proverbs 3:1-3, 7, 8 (NIV)

Wisdom Bestows Well-Being

3 My son, do not forget my teaching,
    but keep my commands in your heart,
2 for they will prolong your life many years
    and bring you peace and prosperity.

3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
    bind them around your neck,
    write them on the tablet of your heart.

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
    fear the Lord and shun evil.

8 This will bring health to your body
    and nourishment to your bones.

Luke 6:27-28, 37 (NIV)

Love for Enemies

27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

Judging Others

37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

James 1:2-6, 12-15 (NIV)

Trials and Temptations

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faithproduces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

13¬†When tempted, no one should say, ‚ÄúGod is tempting me.‚ÄĚ For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;¬†14¬†but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own¬†evil desire and enticed.¬†15¬†Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin;¬†and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the one
    who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
    or sit in the company of mockers,
